CM Jagan Held A Video Conference With Muslim Leaders

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Monday, held a video conference with District Collectors and Muslim religious leaders to discuss in view of the month of Ramzan falling during the coronavirus outbreak crisis.
He requested the leaders to pray from home instead of congregating in mosques and religious leaders accepted the proposal.
He also appealed to the Muslim elders to give a call to all the people of the community to follow the government’s orders. The thirty-day fasting prayers as part of Ramadan would begin on April 23.
He also sited an example from Hindu festivals as the government has not given permission to celebrate festivals like Ugadi, Sri Rama Navami, Good Friday and Easter and urged the public to celebrate the festivals at their homes only.
Earlier, Jagan also announced that assistance of 5,000 will be provided by the state government to mosque, church and temples.
During the video conference, he instructed officials to implement strict lockdown across the state and maintain social distancing in order to control the spread in all 13 districts.
