CM KCR To Give Compensation Of Rs 10,000 To Flood-Hit Family

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has come up with a compensation scheme of Rs 10,000 that will be given to each flood-affected family as a part of relief operations. And the compensation will be handed over to all the victims from tomorrow.
After days of heavy downpour and floods in Telangana and State capital Hyderabad, more than 50 people have lost their lives and there is property damage in crores.
80 colonies across GHMC limits are still inundated and more rains expected during the next three days, all other operations and services have been suspended in GHMC.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao said, “The State Government has already spent over Rs.60 crore and another Rs.670 crore will be spent on relief and rescue measures”.
Rs 550 crore package for flood relief operations, the CM said that the government will provide Rs 50,000 to people whose house has been partially damaged and Rs 1 lakh for completely collapsed houses due to the rains.
The Chief Minister further made an appeal to the businessmen and industrialists to come forward and help the people in flood-hit areas.
