CM Naidu to Meet TATA Group Chairman and CII Delegation to Boost Investment in Andhra Pradesh
In a significant move aimed at attracting investments to Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to meet TATA Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran on Friday. Any forthcoming announcement from the TATA Group is expected to provide a substantial boost to the state’s efforts in establishing itself as a prime investment destination.
Later in the day, Naidu is also set to meet with a delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), led by its Director General Chandrajit Banerjee. The Chief Minister is leaving no stone unturned in his pursuit of industrial investments, emphasizing that his government is diligently working on the most innovative industrial policy in the country.
Naidu has promised that Andhra Pradesh's new industrial policy, which will include separate, industry-specific guidelines, will be the best in the nation and will be unveiled soon. His longstanding association with CII, spanning three decades, adds significance to the upcoming meeting with the CII leadership, where the focus will be on discussing the new policy and the government’s vision.
Officials noted that feedback and suggestions from industry leaders will be incorporated into the policy, ensuring it aligns with the needs and expectations of the business community. Attracting investments and establishing new industries are crucial steps for the NDA government to fulfill its promise of creating 20 lakh job opportunities over the next five years.
