CM Revanth Reddy Asks for Call Centre, Toll-Free Number to Tackle Stray Dog Menace
Hyderabad: In response to the tragic death of a two-year-old boy due to a stray dog attack, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to implement immediate measures to address the issue.
He proposed establishing a call centre or toll-free number for citizens to report stray dog problems, ensuring swift action. The CM also suggested forming an expert committee to study the factors contributing to stray dog aggression and to implement best practices from other states.
Additionally, he emphasized the need for vaccinating stray dogs and ensuring availability of medications for dog bites at health centers. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has been tasked with working closely with local communities to prevent such incidents in the future.
