CM Revanth Reddy instructs officials to oversee KCR's treatment.
On Friday, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy took a proactive stance by directing the Secretary (Health Medical & Family Welfare) to oversee and assess the treatment and recovery progress of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR), who was hospitalized at Yashoda Hospital following a fall. The Secretary (HM&FW) engaged with the hospital's doctors and management, learning that KCR had sustained a hip fracture due to the incident. In response, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized the importance of providing the best possible care to KCR and urged officials to closely monitor and update him on the former Chief Minister's treatment.
To facilitate KCR's swift transfer from his farmhouse in Erravalli to the hospital, the police ensured a green channel. Amid concerns about KCR's health, BRS working president KT Rama Rao provided an update on X, revealing that KCR would undergo a hip replacement surgery. He expressed gratitude for the well-wishes and messages received for KCR's speedy recovery.
BRS MLC Kavitha also shared information on X, assuring that KCR had sustained a minor injury and was receiving expert care in the hospital. She expressed optimism about his swift recovery, acknowledging the outpouring of support and love.
The news of KCR's injury garnered attention at a national level, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi taking to X to express his distress over the incident. The Prime Minister posted, "Distressed to know that former Telangana CM Shri KCR Garu has suffered an injury. I pray for his speedy recovery and good health."
