Bhagwant Singh Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, arrived in Hyderabad on Wednesday night as part of a two-day trip to Telangana. On Thursday, he would examine different construction projects being carried out by the Irrigation and other departments in the Gajwel and Siddipet constituencies during a tour to the Siddipet district. The new "Integrated Irrigation Act," which is being developed by the Irrigation Department in line with the demands of the State, is nearing completion and will soon be submitted to CM KCR for approval.
Bhagwant Mann will likely travel to Siddipet with the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, where they will visit the Kondapochamma Sagar reservoir as part of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme. They will then visit the check-dams built at Erravelly to better understand the artificial recharge structures created by the irrigation department.
Both Chief Ministers will later visit the Pandavula Cheruvu tank to view the restoration efforts being made as part of Mission Kakatiya. They will converse with nearby farms as well.
