Cabinet Approves All The Recommendations Submitted By High Power Committee

The AP Cabinet meeting, chaired by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, concluded at the secretariat today. The cabinet has approved all the recommendations submitted by the High Power Committee on Amaravati, including insider trading, farmer's concerns, Decentralisation of development, employee issues, and CRDA amendment.
After the cabinet meeting, the Business Advisory Committee met in the assembly to plan the agenda to discuss in the special assembly sessions. In addition to the CRDA amendment bills, the government will also introduce the bill about the establishment of zones in the state.
At the same time, the police had made strict security arrangements in Amaravati after the TDP called for the Chalo Assembly program. The public was not allowed in the vicinity of the assembly. The TDP leaders and former ministers were placed under house arrest.
The cabinet had also approved the proposal to lengthen the tenancy limit for 15 years to the farmers who gave up their lands for the capital city construction and also agreed to establish the Amaravati Metropolitan Development Authority in the place of CRDA. The state government will set up Pulivendula urban development authority in Kadapa.
