Chandrababu Naidu Accuses CM Jagan of Neglecting Araku's Welfare, Promoting Ganja Cultivation
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP leader, N. Chandrababu Naidu, addressed public gatherings in Araku and Mandapeta as part of the "Raa Kadaliraa" program. During his speeches, he criticized Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of neglecting the welfare of the Araku region.
Naidu alleged that while he promoted Araku coffee worldwide, Jagan's government was encouraging ganja cultivation in the area. He also accused the ruling YSRC government of withdrawing 16 welfare schemes meant for the economic upliftment of Girijans (tribal communities) implemented during the previous TDP regime. Naidu pledged to reintroduce these schemes and emphasized the importance of GO No 3, which was issued during the TDP's tenure in 2003 to appoint Girijans as teachers.
The TDP leader criticized the YSRC government for laterite mining, claiming that bauxite was being extracted in the Agency areas and transported to Bharathi Cements, owned by Jagan's wife. Naidu voiced his concerns about the state's aquaculture industry and pledged support to aqua farmers if the TDP-JSP coalition came to power.
In a public meeting in Araku, Naidu appointed Siyyari Donnu Dora as the incharge of the Araku Assembly constituency for the upcoming elections. Dora had previously contested unsuccessfully as an independent candidate in the last polls. Chandrababu Naidu called on the public to support the TDP-JSP alliance in the forthcoming elections.
