Chandrababu Naidu Alleges YSRCP Links to Drug Mafia: Calls for CBI Inquiry
During a workshop on elections in Vijayawada, TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu made startling allegations, accusing certain leaders from the YSRCP of having ties to international drug syndicates. He pointed to recent drug seizures in Visakhapatnam as evidence, emphasizing the urgency for a thorough investigation into these incidents.
Naidu highlighted the delays caused by state officials and port employees during the examination of seized drugs, as outlined in a CBI report. He expressed concern over Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's purported inaction regarding issues such as the ganja trade, raising questions about MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy's alleged involvement.
In addition to condemning what he deemed as false accusations spread by the YSRCP against the TDP regarding the drug seizures, Naidu called for scrutiny into the relationship between MP V. Vijaya Sai Reddy and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
Further, Naidu demanded a comprehensive CBI inquiry into the involvement of individuals like Kunam Veerabhadra Rao and his brother, YSRCP leader Kunam Purnachandra Rao, in both the Vizag drug racket and the Delhi liquor scam.
The accusations and demands made by Naidu shed light on the escalating tensions between political factions in Andhra Pradesh, with implications for the upcoming elections and broader governance issues in the state.
