Chandrababu Naidu Champions Moral Education to Build a Better Society
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the importance of instilling moral values in the younger generation, alongside education and job skills, to create a harmonious and progressive society. Speaking at a meeting held at the Secretariat on Monday, he highlighted the need to preserve and promote India's rich cultural heritage and family traditions.
Naidu expressed concern over the erosion of moral values among youth due to changing societal influences. He urged collective efforts to teach respect for women, elders, and parents while fostering positive behavior and ethics. “Fostering moral values is key to building a better society,” he remarked, stressing the need for balanced development that includes both intellectual and moral growth.
The Chief Minister proposed organizing lectures, workshops, and special programs in educational institutions to instill ethics and values. He tasked Government Advisor (Students Ethics and Values), Chaganti Koteswara Rao, with developing initiatives for this purpose. Rao assured Naidu of efforts to enhance moral education through tools like Sumati and Vemana Satakams, ethical stories, motivational talks, and special classes.
Rao revealed that these initiatives had already been discussed with HRD Minister Nara Lokesh and emphasized their potential to inspire students. This meeting marked the first official interaction between Naidu and Rao since the latter’s appointment as a government advisor.
Naidu's call for moral education reflects his vision for nurturing a generation rooted in values, ready to contribute to a better and more respectful society.
