Chandrababu Naidu Lays Foundation Stone for Rs 150-Crore Sri Venkateswara Temple at Hare Krishna Gokula Kshetram
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu attended the foundation stone laying ceremony to construct a new temple at Hare Krishna Gokula Kshetram in Kolanukonda on Saturday. During the event, Naidu offered prayers and participated in the 'Ananta Sesha Sthapana' ritual for the Sri Venkateswara temple.
In his address to the congregation at the temple complex, Naidu praised the Hare Krishna movement, stating that it is an institution capable of smoothly executing any program. He announced that the temple's construction, which began on Saturday, is a Rs 150-crore project. Naidu expressed confidence in the movement's ability to undertake and complete numerous similar projects across the country, mentioning that 20 such projects are underway in India, with an additional five worldwide.
The Chief Minister promised support for the movement's initiatives and expressed hope that the temple, built on 6.5 acres of land, would become a major center for public consciousness. Former Chief Justice of India, N.V. Ramana, also participated in the program.
