Chandrababu Naidu Revives Amaravati Capital Project After Five-Year Pause
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu officially resumed the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) project works on Saturday, marking the restart of the long-stalled Amaravati capital project. The works in Rayapudi village, located within the capital region, were put on hold for five years after the previous YSRCP government shelved Naidu’s ambitious initiative.
The Amaravati capital project has regained momentum following Naidu’s return as the Chief Minister after the 2024 elections. According to an official statement released on Saturday, the decision to restart construction was made during a CRDA authority meeting held on October 16.
