Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan Rally for Uttarandhra Development
Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP national president and former Chief Minister, criticized the YSRCP government for neglecting the Uttarandhra region over the past five years. Speaking at an election meeting in Nellimarla, Vizianagaram district, Naidu, alongside JSP chief Pawan Kalyan, highlighted the lack of concrete steps towards employment generation and completion of irrigation projects by the current administration.
Naidu pointed out the TDP's role in initiating the Bhogapuram airport project, which is now attracting investments to the region. He criticized Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for initially opposing the project and later claiming credit for it. Naidu pledged to ensure the airport's completion by 2025 if the NDA is voted to power.
Pawan Kalyan echoed Naidu's sentiments, emphasizing the need to halt migration from Uttarandhra and promote employment through increased investment. He criticized the YSRCP government for failing to reopen the Nellimarla jute mill, impacting thousands of jobs. Both leaders vowed to reopen the mill if their alliance comes to power.
Additionally, they promised to address issues such as temple desecrations, sand and granite smuggling, and pollution control. The meeting was attended by local JSP leader Lokam Madhavi and TDP MP candidate K. Appalanaidu.
