Chiru’ Lucifer Remake Director Finalized

Chiranjeevi’s Telugu remake of Lucifer, starring him in the role essayed by Mohanlal in the original version, has a new director, Mohan Raja. Previously Sujeeth and VV Vinayak names were doing rounds for the remake but it was now gone to Jayam Mohan Raja, as he's known.
The director and writer who generally worked in the Tamil industry and made movies such as Kollywood remake of Jayam and Thani Oruvan, and made his debut with the Tollywood film, Hanuman Junction, will be helming the remake.
Announcing the official news on social media, the director shared an image he took with Chiranjeevi and posted as, “With the blessings of my parents and well-wishers, life has always gifted me better and bigger things. And this time I’m more elated n honored to direct a mega project with the Megastar @KChiruTweets himself. Need all your wishes n prayers #Chiru153.”
He further added, “#Chiru153 A proud second time association with the Megastar after my father Editor Mohan’s blockbuster hit #Hitler (1997). Second directorial film in Telugu after my debut and highly successful #HanumanJunction (2001).”
On the professional front, Chiranjeevi joined the sets of his upcoming film Acharya with director Koratala Siva and Kajal Aggarwal after his niece grand wedding, reports state that he has finalized the script for this much-anticipated remake as Mohan Raja is said to have narrated a script which has been tweaked to suit Telugu audience. Shooting for the film will commence in February 2021 and will go on till April. More details are still awaited.
