Chiru’s Sye Raa Postponed?

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming periodic drama ‘Sye Raa’ is said to be released on October 2^nd on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi. But, according to the sources, the film is going to be postponed and will be released for Sankranthi 2020! Though the film’s shoot has wrapped up, the CG work is still pending as there is a lot of work to do. Though makers didn’t speak a word on the postponement, sources have revealed it.

Earlier, makers have planned of releasing Sye Raa on August 15^th. However, the film got postponed as the shoot didn’t get completed. And now, again the film is getting postponed because of the delay in CG work. Sye Raa is the biopic of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy and the film stars top actors such as Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathi Babu, Nayanthara, Tamannaah and Anushka Shetty. Amitabh Bachchan will be making a guest appearance.

The film will be set around 30 years prior to India's first war of independence of 1857. Nayanthara will be seen as Siddhamma, wife of Uyyalawada in the film while Anushka Shetty will be seen as Rani of Jhansi. Ram Charan is producing the movie under Konidela Productions while Surender Reddy is directing the film. Amit Trivedi is composing tunes for the songs and background score is composed by Julius Packiam. The lyrics for the songs were penned by popular lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry. Popular cinematographer is handling the cinema work.

The posters released from Sye Raa got a positive response and the film’s teaser which was released last year got millions of views back then. The film is made on a huge budget of 250 Cr. As the shoot of Sye Raa got wrapped up, Chiru is going to work on his next film with Koratala Siva soon.
