Chitralahari has given many hopes to the audience and Sai Dharam Tej as well. As Sai Dharam Tej has no big hit in his career, it is very important for him to get one! Let’s see if Chitralahari helps Tej or not!
Cast: Sai Dharam Tej, Kalyani Priyadarshin, Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil, Posani Krishna Murali

Chitralahari Movie Story:
Vijay (Sai Dharam Tej) is an engineering graduate who is jobless. He develops an app and keeps approaching various companies but gets rejected everywhere every time. As there is no way left, he joins a TV shop and falls in love with Lahari (Kalyani Priyadarshan). When the lead pair is on a good note, Shanti (Nivetha Pehturaj) enters and spoils everything. Vijay who lost hope in his life gets depressed. How he gets out of it and reaches his goal forms the rest of the story.
Chitralahari Movie Review:
Sai Dharam Tej is perfect in his role. His performance has improved quite a lot in this movie. He as a loser performed superbly. The emotions between him and his father Posani came out very well. Posani also performed well as a middle-class father.
Kalyani, the lead actress is good as a confused lover. But Nivetha Pehturaj over-performed Kalyani as she gets a meaty role. Nivetha as a corporate head is perfect with her body language. Vennela Kishore is hilarious in the role of English speaking Tamil guy and Sunil is good in the first half.
As the concept is seen in many Telugu films, people may get Dejavu kind of feel. But, the overall movie gives a pleasant feel. The emotions were really strong. Direction by Kishore Tirumala is good. Production values are decent. Music by Devi Sri Prasad is okay. ‘Priyatama’ song came out well. Dialogues were strong with emotions and the editing part is done well.
What’s Good?
- Sai Dharam Tej and Nivetha performance
- Production values
- Dialogues
What’s Okay?
- Direction
- Music
- Performance of Kalyani Priyadarshan
What’s Bad?
- Nothing
Verdict: Chitralahari is a must watch the film for the people who have seen failure in life and struggling in life. For remaining all, it is a one-time watch.
