Comedian Ali As Abdul Kalam!

A poster titled ‘APJ Abdul Kalam’ in which comedian Ali was seen as the legendary scientist was released recently. Ever since the poster was unveiled, people are criticizing the casting choice saying Ali won’t suit the role of Abdul Kalam as he is a comedian and also he has a lot of controversies around him. Also, we have seen Ali commenting about actresses on stages which already gave a very bad impression of him and so people cannot digest that he is playing the role of a visionary person like Abdul Kalam.

Ali, at the poster launch event, said that a comedian can do emotional scenes, serious scenes, songs, fights, and everything. “He can even make the audience cry with his performance and so I can do the role of Abdul Kalam and makers also have confidence in me,” he said. Ali also said that he is going to Rameswaram with the filmmakers to know more about Abdul Kalam.

“There are a few friends of Abdul Kalam living in Rameswaram. We will meet them to know more information and use it in the film. We have already gathered 80% of information and we will gather the remaining 20 percent that helps our film,” Ali said. Speaking about the first look poster, Ali looked very similar to Abdul Kalam, but people felt that he won’t be able to pull off such a great person’s character even though their physical appearance matches to some extent.

People also wondered how makers have chosen Ali for such a great role as he doesn’t perform such serious roles in his career. On the other side, after the release of this poster, sources revealed that popular producer Abhishek Nama acquired all the rights of making Abdul Kalam biopic in all languages and no one has a right to violate it.
