Commencement of National Awards to be after elections
The victors of the 66th National Film Awards will be proclaimed after the finish of the general races; the Information and Broadcasting Ministry has reported.
An official statement from the Ministry on Wednesday expressed that "since the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is in power, which encourages level playing field to every single ideological group and the hopefuls and entomb looks to guarantee that the intensity of media isn't utilized in such a way which influences the general direct and level playing field amid the race procedure, it has been chosen to announce the awards after the race procedure is finished and the MCC closes."
Consistently the victors of the awards - composed and displayed by the Directorate of Film Festivals — are declared in the long stretch of April and the introduction service is hung on the assigned date, May 3rd.
In contrast to this year, amid the 2014 general decisions, the 61st National Film Awards were declared according to plan, on April 16th, 2014 and were displayed on May 3rd, 2014.
