Story : Shiva is a police officer who becomes renowned after obstructing the Chief Minister. He has been in love with Krithi Shetty's character since he was a child, and the two plan to marry. Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya becomes involved with the characters of Sampath Raj and Aravind Swamy, which leads to Naga Chaitanya embarking on a journey with Aravind Swamy. The rest of the novel is around the conflict between the two characters and their quest.
On-Screen Performances: Naga Chaitanya gives an excellent portrayal as an enthusiastic cop. He appears smart and has the demeanour of a cop. To play this difficult role, he has mellowed a little. Aravind Swamy is a seasoned actor who gives a good portrayal as a crook. Krithi Shetty plays a minor role and does well in it. Priyamani has also done well with the resources she has been provided. The remainder of the supporting cast is satisfactory.
Off Screen performances : Venkat Prabhu is well-known for his sleek action thrillers. His customary flavour is present in this film as well. The narration is slow in the beginning and picks up only after the conflict is exposed. However, the problem with his pace has had a significant impact on this film, as the audience would lose interest in the film after a certain point because the scenes unfolding are also not very exciting. Custody's fault is that the filmmaker fails to convey an engaging narrative. Background score and songs by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Ilayaraja are not memorable and are easily forgotten, which is not to be anticipated from either of them, especially when they collaborate. The film's production design and cinematography are both excellent. The editing might have been far superior.
Positive points : A few action sequences are a plus. Values of production
Negative points: Slow tempo Poor narration The overall script
Verdict: Naga Chaitanya has been bullish about Custody since its inception, but the film falls short of expectations. It's an out-of-date film that has nothing to offer and should be avoided at all costs.
