Cyberabad Police Enforce Prohibitory Orders in Miyapur and Chandanagar
The Cyberabad police have imposed prohibitory orders banning the assembly of five or more people in the Miyapur and Chandanagar police station areas for six days, starting from Sunday.
Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, Avinash Mohanty, issued a notification stating that the orders were necessary due to the current law and order situation. The aim is to prevent any danger to human life and safety, as well as to avert riots, affrays, or any obstruction to lawful duties.
The police have also restricted entry to the area for individuals who do not reside or work there. These orders will remain in effect until 11 pm on June 29.
The prohibitory orders follow an incident in Miyapur where hundreds of people encroached on a piece of land and erected huts. On Saturday evening, the mob threw stones at police and Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) officials who were attempting to remove the encroachments.
