Date Set for Andhra Pradesh High Court
It is learnt from a reliable source that the notification for the bifurcation of high court between the two states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is all set to be issued by the President Ram Nath Kovind.
It is understood that in the notification the President of India has set April 7 as the appointed date for Andhra Pradesh High court to start functioning from AP capital Amaravathi.
Ever since the separation of the states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the Lawyers of Telangana have been fighting for the bifurcation of High court as well. Andhra Pradesh Government has already started the construction of Justice city in Amaravathi. Due to the delay in the construction of Justice city, AP government is constructing temporary premises for AP High court.
According to the sources, the division of Judges and other Judiciary staff between the two states has already entered the final stages after continuous demands from the Lawyers of both states.
All the allotted staff and Judges will shift to the new AP High court once the construction of the court building is completed and will officially start its operation on the day of Telugu Ugadi which is from April 7, 2019.
