Hyderabad: Amidst a heavy police presence and overcast conditions, thousands of devotees began gathering at the historic Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad on Sunday morning to celebrate the Ashada Bonalu festivities. The devotees came to offer 'Bonam' and seek blessings from Goddess Mahankali.
For the convenience of women devotees, authorities arranged separate queues and set up barricades to ensure a smooth passage for the expected crowd of over 10 lakh people during the two-day celebrations.
