Epstein Survivor Slams Trump Over ‘Circus’ Handling of Case Files
A survivor of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has publicly criticised former US President Donald Trump, accusing his administration of turning a serious matter into a “circus show.” Jena-Lisa Jones, who says she was abused by Epstein at the age of 14, expressed deep disappointment over the handling of promised file disclosures.
Jones, who voted for Trump in the 2024 election, said she had placed hope in his campaign pledge to release federal records related to Epstein. Speaking on a podcast, she revealed that despite congressional backing for transparency, she has not seen any documentation linked to her own case.
“I wanted my day in court, and we were so close,” she said, adding that the momentum for justice collapsed after initial optimism. According to Jones, Trump’s campaign strongly emphasised accountability, convincing many survivors to support him.
However, she claims the administration later downplayed the issue, dismissing it as politically motivated. This shift, she said, left survivors feeling betrayed.
While some developments abroad—such as action involving Prince Andrew—have provided limited accountability, Jones insists justice within the United States remains elusive. She emphasised the need for stronger action against perpetrators domestically, stating that meaningful justice would involve protecting children and prosecuting offenders within the country.
Her remarks highlight ongoing frustration among survivors who continue to seek transparency and accountability in one of the most high-profile abuse cases in recent history.
