FIR Filed Against Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in Rajasthan Over Car Endorsement

Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are facing legal trouble after an FIR was filed against them in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The complaint, registered at Mathura Gate police station, accuses the actors of misleading consumers by endorsing a car brand with alleged manufacturing defects.
Advocate Kirti Singh, the complainant, said he purchased the car in 2022 for ₹23.97 lakh, paying ₹51,000 upfront and taking a loan of over ₹10 lakh. Influenced by the actors’ endorsements and dealership assurances, Singh believed the vehicle would be “trouble-free.” However, he soon experienced serious issues, including lack of pickup during overtaking, malfunction warnings, vibrations, and strange noises at high speeds.
Singh claimed these problems made the car unsafe, and despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter, the dealership admitted the defect was unfixable. Feeling deceived, Singh took legal action not only against the company but also the brand ambassadors, alleging their advertisements influenced his decision.
Police confirmed the FIR and said an investigation is underway. The case has reignited debate about celebrity accountability in product endorsements.
