Famous Ott Platform Introduces Spatial Audio Support.

Netflix is all set to roll out spatial audio support for Netflix's original web series and shows. Stranger Things, among other series, will be the first to get spatial audio support. Users will be able to search for content that supports spatial audio simply by typing "spatial audio" in the search bar. The new feature will be rolled out to the users starting today. Netflix did not specify whether the rollout is limited to the audience in the US or not.
Netflix already supports 4K, Dolby Atmos, HDR, and Netflix Calibrated Mode, which offer a great viewing experience. With spatial audio support, Netflix aims to provide a cinematic experience at home for users.
Netflix has partnered with Sennheiser to offer spatial support to users. The streaming giant uses Sennheiser AMBEO technology to enhance stereo audio with an immersive surround sound experience that is compatible with all devices and all streaming plans and does not require surround sound speakers or home theater equipment.
You do not require surrounding sound speakers to experience spatial audio; the feature will be enabled automatically when watching a compatible TV show or movie using stereo audio.
However, if you do have surround sound speakers watching TV shows and movies in 5.1 surround sound or Dolby Atmos, it is recommended in order to experience spatial audio. Netflix supports Apple's spatial audio on Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad devices to enhance 5.1 surround sound and Dolby Atmos audio with an immersive surround sound experience.
