Former Telangana CM KCR Discharged from Hospital, Shifts Focus to Recovery
K. Chandrashekar Rao, the former Chief Minister of Telangana, has been discharged from the hospital and is now at his residence in Banjara Hills' Nandinagar locality. Rao's hospitalization began on the night of December 8 after he sustained an injury in a fall at his Erravalli farmhouse in Siddipet district.
The fall resulted in a fracture to his left hip bone, leading to a successful hip replacement surgery performed by the medical team at Yashoda Hospital, where he has been recuperating since December 9. Doctors have advised Rao to rest for six to eight weeks and follow a carefully planned exercise and physiotherapy routine to regain his strength and return to his regular activities.
Before leaving the hospital, Rao expressed his gratitude to the medical staff for their care and also greeted the well-wishers who had gathered there. Accompanied by his family, he made his way home. Shortly afterward, the government announced the withdrawal of his Z plus security cover, replacing it with Z-category security, a standard provision for former chief ministers.
As KCR focuses on his recovery, his supporters and well-wishers anticipate his return to active political life with great enthusiasm.
