France to move proposal at United Nations to 'Ban' JeM Chief Masood Azhar
French Sources stated that France will be looking keen on moving the proposal to ban Masood Azhar at the UN in a couple of days. This is the second time France will be the party for such proposals at the UN. Earlier in 2017, the US with support form the UK and France moved a proposal at the UN's Sanctions committee 1267 to ban the chief of the Pakistan- based terror outfit, which was blocked by China.
“At the UN, France will lead a proposal to put Masood Azhar on the terrorist list. It will happen in a couple of days,” a senior French source.
This discussion about moving proposal happened earlier between Philippe Etienne, Diplomatic Advisor the French President and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval this morning, according to the French source.
Phillippe expressed his condolences to the martyred and also emphasized that the two countries should coordinate their diplomatic efforts.
