Gaddalakonda Ganesh (Valmiki) 2nd Day Collections are Impressive!

After a long wait, the film ‘Valmiki’ which has changed its title to ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh’ is running successfully in theatres. The Boya community who worships Valmiki as a deity, took offense saying that their sentiments would hurt. Finally, the High Court ordered the filmmakers to change the title, the day before the release. And then director Harish Shankar announced about changing the title. “The film’s title has been changed to Gaddalakonda Ganesh. We stopping all the publicity material (with Valmiki title) and sending fresh material with the changed title,” he said.
Despite the disturbances, the film has collected a superb amount at the box office on its first and second day. The film has collected a share of Rs 5.67 crores in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on its first day. On its second day, it has managed to earn Rs 3.53 crores. The total collections of the film are 9.2 crores. It is expected that the film would collect even more in the next two days, because of the weekend.
Valmiki is the official remake of Tamil super hit film ‘Jigarthandaa’. As expected, this remake film has gained the love of the audience in the first two days itself.
