HIT Review – Keep Guessing!

After a long wait and raising curiosity in the people with teaser and trailer, the film ‘HIT’ has hit the screens today. The filmmakers have created a lot of hype for the movie with their promotions. Let’s see if the film reaches the expectations of the audience now!

HIT Story: Vikram Rudraraju (Vishwak Sen) is an investigative officer in the HIT (Homicide Intervention Team). His girlfriend goes missing, but the department keeps him away from the case, due to his frequent panic attacks because of his past events. But later, when another girl goes missing, Vikram is asked to deal with the case. How Vikram finds the culprit and solves the case forms the story.

HIT Review: Thriller films have good craze among people. Also, there are people who become very curious and can’t wait for the release of films. And so, it is needless to say, first show tickets of any thriller film which creates a good hype before its release will be sold out easily. But, could we decide the success of the film with just a houseful board on its first day first show? No, actually. The story needs to be quite intriguing with unpredictable twists and turns for the film to run for a long time.

HIT has a good suspense factor that was well-maintained until the end. The film keeps you guessing throughout the film, which is quite an essential factor for any suspense thriller. But, if you are well-versed with thriller films and watched every single film without missing one and also have a thinking capability and curiosity about the suspect, you may find it, the real twist of the film, with your observation and thinking. It doesn’t mean the twists are weak, you just have that intelligence to connect the dots!

Vishwak Sen as an investigative officer did well and the raw dialogues said by him with ease, without making the audience feel embarrassed and think about it for a long time, is appreciable. The first half is all about clearing the path by finding clues related to the case, and the second half has the real investigation that everyone waits for. Ruhani Sharma is for the namesake. She has nothing to do in the film and so we cannot speak about her much. The makeup could have been much better. Hari Teja is good in her role.

Though director Sailesh has succeeded in the execution part, he has failed to take advantage of wonderful actors like Brahmaji, Murli Sharma, and Bhanu Chander. Bhanu Chander is a very senior actor and it is sad to say that he is wasted in the film! Why couldn’t these makers choose some current or junior actors for this role? Music by Vivek Sagar is quite good. He supported the suspense scenes well with his BGM. Cinematography is impressive and editing is also good but could have been more gripping.
