High Drama: Will KTR Face Arrest?
The political landscape in Telangana was shaken as crowds gathered outside BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao’s (KTR) residence in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, amid rumors of his possible arrest. KTR’s involvement in a controversial case has sparked massive interest, though no arrest occurred.
The case centers around former BRS MLA Patnam Narender Reddy, who was detained on Wednesday. According to reports, Reddy allegedly confessed to staging an attack on Vikarabad Collector Prateek Jain under KTR’s orders. The violent incident took place during a public hearing on land acquisition for an SEZ in Lagacherla village, and Reddy reportedly implicated KTR and senior BRS leaders in orchestrating the attack to destabilize the government.
During remand proceedings, a police report submitted to the court detailed Reddy’s alleged confession, noting that he admitted to acting under the directions of KTR and other leaders to harm Telangana’s administration. This development has intensified scrutiny on KTR, with opposition parties calling for accountability. Although KTR has not responded to the accusations, political tensions continue to rise as Telangana gears up for what could be a high-stakes legal battle involving one of its most prominent political figures.
