Highlights Of PM Modi Video Meet With CM’s

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a crucial meet with chief ministers of all states and union territories via video-conferencing at 10 pm today and discussed on the extension of nationwide lockdown and strategies to be implemented to restart economic activities.
PM Modi emphasized on economy as well as continue the fight against the novel coronavirus. He also directed the chief ministers of different states to release some guidelines strictly in the COVID-19 Hotspot.
States like Delhi expressed its willingness to extend the lockdown in the red zone areas while other states, including Maharashtra, Punjab and Odisha, have agreed that, if needed, they were ready to continue with the existing restrictions till May 16.
States such as Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka have left the decision to the Centre itself and would centres guidelines.
Modi sought views from chief ministers on views related to migrant workers and how their burden and problems could be eliminated. These migrant labourers are rendered in other states without any work, which has created a major problem for them. It is also heard that the centres could soon release a new relief package as it was released in March.
