‘Howdy Modi!’: Trump Accepts Invitation, Modi Delighted!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to attend the function in Houston on 22nd September. The event has been named as ‘Howdy Modi! Shared Dreams, Bright Futures’ and the Prime Minister will deliver a speech on the occasion along with various colorful programs. As many as fifty thousand people are expected to attend the event.
Prime Minister requested the US President Donald Trump to attend the event when the two met in France last month in G7 Summit. Earlier today, the White House confirmed that Trump will join Modi at Houston. This will be the first time in the history of America that an American president will address thousands of Indian-Americans at one place.
The Prime Minister took to his Twitter handle and thanked Trump on accepting the invitation. He said, “A special gesture by @POTUS, signifying the special friendship between India and USA! Delighted that President @realDonaldTrump will join the community program in Houston on the 22nd. Looking forward to joining the Indian origin community in welcoming him at the program.”

Delighted that President @realDonaldTrump will join the community programme in Houston on the 22nd.
Looking forward to joining the Indian origin community in welcoming him at the programme.
This is Prime Minister’s third such event on the US soil. The first one was held in New York’s Madison Square in 2014 and the second event was held in 2017 in Silicon Valley. Organizers of the event informed that all the tickets of 50,000 capacity stadium have been sold out. People in such large numbers are not seen in any political rallies held by any president of the US.
The special gesture of President @realDonaldTrump to join us in Houston highlights the strength of the relationship and recognition of the contribution of the Indian community to American society and economy. #HowdyModi
