Hyderabad: CM KCR Will Inaugurate Adivasi And Banjara Bhavans

CM K Chandrashekhar Rao will inaugurate Komaram Bheem Adivasi Bhavan and Sevalal Banjara buildings on September 17.
While Komaram Bheem Adivasi Bhavan was built at Rs 24.68 crore, Sevalal Banjara building was constructed at the cost of Rs 24.43 crore. The works on the 2 swanky buildings started in 2016-17.
According to officials, the State government was implementing many welfare and development schemes under the guidance of the CM to ensure the comprehensive development of tribals. KCR govt was prioritizing the preservation of tribal culture; also, they said.
They said the government was officially organizing the anniversaries of Komaram Bheem, the tribal warrior, and Sevalal Maharaj, the deity of the Banjaras. In addition to holding Asia’s most prominent ‘Sammakka-Saralamma’ Jatara, the state government is officially organizing ‘Bhourampur Jatara’, ‘Nagobha Jatara,’ ‘Jangubai Jatara’, ‘Erukala Nancharamma Jatara’, ‘Gandhari Maisamma Jatara, etc.,
In the last 8 years since the formation of Telangana, the government has spent Rs 354 crore to manage and construct facilities for Sammakka-Saralamma jatara and other tribal fairs.
KCR administration also established the memorial of Komaram Bheem at Jodeghat apart from setting up the Sammakka-Saralamma museum in Medaram to showcase the culture and traditions of the Koya tribal tribe; Rs 22.53 crore were spent on the establishment of museums.
