Hyderabad has been ranked first for being the fastest city in completing residential projects — both small (100-500 units) and large (over 500 units) — in the last decade.
The National chart was released on the morning of 27 February, which lists Hyderabad at the top, followed by Bengaluru. The average completion time for Hyderabad stood at 4.4 years while it was around 5.6 years for others.
Anarock Property Consultants chairman Anuj Puri said, “Hyderabad has a competitive edge over others because builders here mostly work on a joint development model wherein the landowner gets a pre-decided share in the built units which eases his financial burden far more than those in Delhi-NCR where they mostly purchase the land.”
Hyderabad has been able to get speedy project approvals or single-window clearance, such as TS-iPASS, more easily than others.
The research was carried on 7 seven cities by Anarock and revealed the average completion time for large residential projects in the National Capital Region (NCR) during the period was 7.2 years, the longest project completion time. The average time taken to complete smaller projects was 5.2 years, and 6.5 years for large projects, across these cities.
