Hyderabad Traffic Restrictions Announced Ahead of PM Modi’s Visit
Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced major traffic restrictions and diversions ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit and public meeting at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad. The restrictions will remain in effect on Sunday between 1 pm and 9 pm to ensure smooth movement of vehicles and maintain security around the event venue.
According to officials, commuters traveling across several important routes in the city are advised to use alternate roads to avoid congestion. Traffic moving from Begumpet towards Sangeeth Junction has been diverted through Paradise, Patny, Clock Tower, and Sangeeth routes. Similarly, commuters traveling from Begumpet to Trimulgherry are advised to use the flyovers leading through St. John’s Rotary, Shenoy, AOC, and KV areas.
Motorists traveling from Balanagar to Secunderabad have been advised to take routes through Fathenagar, Ameerpet, and Panjagutta. Another alternate route has also been suggested via Rasoolpura Junction, Minister Road, and Ranigunj. Vehicles heading from Secunderabad to Bowenpally and Trimulgherry have also been redirected through designated diversion points.
Police officials stated that heavy vehicles, RTC buses, and private travel buses should avoid routes leading to Parade Grounds during the restricted hours. Authorities also warned that roadside parking around the venue is strictly prohibited and unauthorized vehicles will be towed and penalized.
The police have urged citizens to cooperate with traffic personnel and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience. Commuters have also been encouraged to use Hyderabad Metro Rail services and other forms of public transportation to reduce traffic pressure in the city.
Given the large turnout expected for the Prime Minister’s meeting, extensive arrangements have been made to regulate vehicle movement and maintain public safety. Traffic police teams will remain deployed across key junctions and diversion points to manage congestion and guide commuters throughout the day.
