Hyderabad police deny JP Nadda's rally permission.

Hyderabad police denied permission to a rally by BJP national president J.P. Nadda to protest against the arrest of the party's Telangana unit president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
On Tuesday evening, BJP people planned to hold a candlelight rally from Mahatma Gandhi Statue, Ranigunj, to Paradise X Roads in Secunderabad. The rally was to be led by Nadda, and several BJP leaders, including the union minister for tourism and culture, G. Kishan Reddy, participated.
However, citing the orders banning public meetings and rallies because of the Covid-19 situation, the city police refused permission.
Sanjay was arrested in Karimnagar town on Sunday night when he staged a night-long protest demanding the government amend orders relating to government employee transfers. The Karimnagar MP was charged with assaulting police officers and violating the Disaster Management Act. He and four others were placed in judicial custody for 14 days by a magistrate on Monday.
The saffron party has called for a state-wide protest for 14 days against the arrest and alleged that TRS uses undemocratic means to suppress the peaceful protests.
Condemning the arrests, Nadda said that the BJP would take all democratic recourse to fight against the autocratic measures of the TRS government.
In an interview with reporters, Kishan Reddy wondered whether Covid rules applied exclusively to the BJP. TRS ministers and leaders held rallies and meetings, he asked why. He alleged that the Telangana government was implicating BJP leaders in false cases but made it clear that they would not be afraid of such tactics.
