ISRO To Launch PSLV-C48 With Spy Satellite
India, on Wednesday, launched its spy satellite RISAT-2BR1 and nine other foreign satellites through Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, on its 50th mission.
Sixteen minutes into the launch, the PSLV rocket will sling RISAT-2BR1 and a minute later,
The launch vehicle, PSLV-C48, took off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, at 3.25 pm. Also, the ISRO Chairman K Sivan offered prayers at the Tirupati Balaji temple in Tirumala before the launch of satellites from PSLV C48.
The satellites are being launched to gather data regarding agriculture, surveillance, forest and disaster management. Sivan also called it as a historic achievement by ISRO as it’s the 50th launch of PSLV and 75th from Sriharikota.
