In 9 Months, AP Will Once Again Have a Capital.
By starting the Yuvagalam padayatra, TDP's young leader Nara Lokesh has cornered YS Jagan. The padayatra continued into Guntur district, where Lokesh met with landowners who had donated prime real estate for the new capital.
Several tragic accounts from farmers about their treatment as "paid artists" by YSRCP and victims of police abuse surfaced during this event.
In light of the upcoming elections and the expected win of TDP, Lokesh promised them that the construction of Amaravati would take only a matter of time.
Lokesh played archival footage of YS Jagan giving speeches about the need to purchase 30,000 acres so that Amaravati might become the capital of Andhra Pradesh. The 'J-Turn' was what Lokesh called these videos.
He dared YS Jagan, asking if in four years he had even laid three bricks anywhere in the state, let alone the idea of three capital cities.
