In Just a Few Days, Meta's Threads Passes 90 Million User Sign-Ups

A few days after its July 6, 2023 launch, Threads, Meta's brand-new social networking platform, had racked up 90 million users. Right now, the app has the highest rating among free downloads in the App Store.
Threads appear particularly well-liked among young people, despite Meta not officially disclosing the program's user demographics. When Threads originally launched, more than 2 million people signed up, and by Friday, July 8, it had 70 million members.
According to some commentators, Threads could be a serious threat to Twitter. Threads might provide a more approachable and interesting alternative to Twitter, whose recently declined user base. Others, however, think Threads is unlikely to be a long-term success because it is a niche product that only appeals to a tiny group of consumers.
The success of threads will only be assessed in the future. Despite this, given its early success, it seems to have the power to change the social media landscape.
