In just 8 days, Lokesh completes a 100 km padayatra
On Friday, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh reached Bangarupalyam, the 100th km mark on his Yuva Galam padayatra. Bangarupalyam is in the Chittoor district. In the last week, Lokesh has finished his padayatra in the two seats of Kuppam and Palamaner, where it started on January 27. On the eighth day, it was restarted from Puthalapattu Constituency, and when it got to Bangarupalyam, he made the decision to build a dialysis centre at the local government hospital to commemorate the walkathon's 100th kilometre.
Lokesh made the decision to cover the costs out of his own pocket and establish the unit after learning that the town has a significant number of renal disease patients who have been having difficulties travelling to distant locations and private centres for dialysis. After he finished speaking to the crowd, the police took the sound trucks and live vans away, claiming that they had been used without authorization.
Earlier, Lokesh spoke to ladies in Seshapuram, an assembly district in Puthalapattu, and said that, despite a financial crisis in 2014, the TDP administration at the time allotted Rs 20 crore for the Pasupu Kumkuma project with consideration for the welfare of women.
