In response to threats, Shah Rukh Khan receives Y+ security coverage

In light of "imminent and probable threats" to his life, the Maharashtra police have provided Y+ security coverage to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, according to a police official on Monday.
He stated that the Y+ protection consists of eleven security personnel, including six operatives, and a police escort vehicle.
Khan (57) has received threats since the release of his latest film, "Jawan," according to an official.
The security coverage is provided for a fee. Khan will be responsible for his own security, he stated. The decision to increase Khan's security was made last week following a review by a powerful committee, according to an official.
Consequently, the State Intelligence Department has informed all police commissionerates, offices of police superintendents, and the Special Protection Unit, he stated.
A dispute erupted a year ago over the song "Besharam Rang" from the film "Pathaan" by Khan. The actor was threatened by an Ayodhya-based individual.
Khan's security was increased in 2010 as a result of threats related to the publication of his film "My Name Is Khan."
