Incentives To 10 States- Center

The center has delivered an incentive of 7.69 crores to each of 10 states, for the police reforms. The states which are successful in implementing police reforms like filling up the vacancies, technological use in the field of tracking the crime, modernization of the police force are rewarded with the incentives.

This is the first time when a police force is receiving a huge incentive of 7.69 crores, for each of the 10 states. The states which are to be rewarded with incentives are Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh.

All these states have shown a fair amount of progress in filling up the vacant position, use of high tech mobile phones and IT applications to solve the crime and catch the criminals, a through online complaint system so that the public need not visit the police station, computer-aided dispatch system and electronic records of the complaints.

The medical facilities, housing and restroom facilities for women personnel in police stations are taken into granted while releasing the incentives.
