Indian 2 Starts on Kamal Haasan’s Special Day!
Today is a very special day for Tamil veteran actor Kamal Haasan as he has completed 60 years of his filmy career! On this occasion, the makers of Indian 2 have decided to roll on the film today. Actress Rakul Preet Singh posted a boomerang video on her Instagram page, announcing the start of the film. In the video, Rakul is seen getting ready for a shoot in the makeup room, carrying a dialogue sheet in hand. “Indian 2 begins,” she captioned the video.
Kamal and filmmaker Shankar have joined hands after two decades. Apart from Rakul, the film also features Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth and Priya Bhavani Shankar in crucial roles. Kamal recently revealed in Tamil Bigg Boss 3 that he got clean shaved for Indian 2. He also said that he will continue the same look for his upcoming Tamil-Hindi bilingual film ‘Thalaivan Irukkindrana’ which also stars Saif Ali Khan.
The first look poster of Indian 2 was released in January 2019 which had impressed the viewers. Subaskaran Allirajah and Karan Johar are jointly producing the film under Lyca Productions and Dharma Productions. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music while is R. Rathnavelu handling cinematography. A. Sreekar Prasad is editing the movie. The film also stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Vidyut Jammwal. The movie will be making with a budget of Rs 200 Cr and will be releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. The makers have planned to release the film on 14th April 2021.
