Indian man arrested in Australia for having child porn in mobile
Indian tourist Manpreet Singh who is 32-year-old has been arrested for having objectionable content in two of his phones and possessing child pornography.
The nine objectionable videos which included bestiality and other offensive content were recovered. He has to serve a jail term of 2 months before returning to India.
Manpreet’s tourist visa was cancelled and his phones were ceased. Though he was fined $500 and sentenced to seven months in prison he has to serve only two months.
ABF Regional Commander for Western Australia Rod O'Donnell warned the visitors saying that possession of child exploitation material will be taken very seriously under the Australian law and it carries a maximum sentence of 10 years imprisonment or fine of up to $25,000, sometimes both!
