Is Rahul better than Trivikram Srinivas?

King Nagarjuna and director Rahul Ravindran attended the press meet recently and revealed a few things about Manmadhudu 2. The film Manmadhudu 2 got a mixed response from the media channels and very poor talk from the public. Speaking on this, Nagarjuna said that people would take time to love the film. He also said that his super hit film Geethanjali had received well by people only after a few days. “My Annamayya film started collecting well from its 11^th day,” Nag said and requested media to not pass negative feedback on the film.

But, Nag and Rahul Ravindran missed the point. There is a lot of difference then and now. At that time, movies used to run for 100 to 200 days as the screens are less. But, as there are numerous screens now, movie running for 2 weeks is a big thing and the first weekend collections are very important and that decides the fate of the film.

When media person asked Nagarjuna if he misses Trivikram Srinivas while shooting, Nagarjuna replied that he was apt then but not now, which left everyone shocked! “No..No. 17 Years back, He was perfect for that film! Now, I feel Rahul is the right choice for the Younger Generation. Rahul has done a fantastic job. I like the way he extracts the best from Artistes, his Sensibilities and Writing,” said Nag. Does Nagarjuna really think Trivikram doesn’t suit for younger director? He must remember that more fans for Trivikram are from youth. It is not the right thing to compare ‘new’ Rahul and ‘experienced’ Trivikram anyway!
