Italy may host Musk-Zuckerberg cage fight?
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, never fails to surprise. He recently opined that the location of his envisioned cage matches with Meta co-founder Mark Zuckerberg would probably be Italy.
Musk claimed to have spoken with the Italian prime minister and minister of culture about hosting the event in a series of posts on X, formerly known as Twitter.
This platform and Meta will both host a live stream. Nothing modern will be visible because the entire scene will be set in ancient Rome. And all proceeds benefit veterans," Musk asserted in tweets.
However, Musk's most recent assertion that the cage bout will take place in "ancient Rome," is false, as GennaroSangiuliano, Italy's minister of culture, stated, according to Variety.
According to Google's translation, Sangiuliano stated on Friday, "I had a long and friendly conversation with Elon Musk." We discussed our shared interest in the history of ancient Rome. We are considering how to plan a fantastic charity event and historical reenactment while properly honouring and conserving the locations. Rome will not be the location. A Musk-Zuck duel would not occur at Rome's Colosseum due to current renovation, according to Sangiuliano.
The tech millionaires reportedly agreed to a "cage match" confrontation in late June. Musk tweeted that he would be "up for a cage match" with Zuckerberg, who has jiujitsu experience, and that was when everything started.
In the meantime, Musk's "X" and Zuckerberg's recently created social networking platform "Threads" are rivals in the business sector.
