JBS-MGBS Metro Line Flagged Off By CM KCR

Telangana CM KCR inaugurated the JBS-MGBS Metro line on Friday and the new greenline stretch would be open for the public from the next day.

After the inauguration program, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao along with other ministers like IT minister KT Rama Rao, and other public representatives traveled by metro from JBS to MGBS.

The length of this corridor is 11 km. The JBS-MGBS corridor has nine stations which include Parade Grounds, Secunderabad West, Gandhi Hospital, Musheerabad, RTC Crossroads, Chikkadpally, Narayanguda, Sultan Bazaar, and MGBS. It will save time by 29 minutes since by road it takes around 45 minutes, but it will take only 16 minutes with the Metro line.

The Chief Minister said, "JBS to MGBS Metro stations are like modern airports and they would soon be buzzing with people and activity." He further said that people in Hyderabad have started enjoying the benefits of Metro service and that’s why it’s important to spread its importance in all the parts of Hyderabad and make Hyderabad a global city.

Chandrasekhar further compared Hyderabad metro to Delhi metro by saying that it is superior to Delhi metro in terms of technology and vision. Hyderabad Metro Rail is considered as the world’s largest Public-Private Partnership(PPP) project in the metro sector.
