Jagan Launches Seeds Portal

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has once again come up with a welfare scheme for farmers amid protests for his ideas on the three capitals issue.

He has launched a website for booking seeds through Rythu Bharosa centers on Thursday. He recently held a meeting at the Secretariat with the officials in which he inquired about crop procurement centers and prices being paid to the farmers.

He gave some legal instructions to the officials about displaying Minimum support price(MSP) for each crop at the procurement centers and also at village secretariats. "Officials have to ensure that the farmers are getting money soon after the sale of the produce. For effective implementation, proper marketing mechanism has to be adopted and required manpower is deployed at the procurement centers,” he said.

He also ordered the officials to interact with the farmers about seed selection and crop management. He also said that if farmers select the best quality seeds, then they can grow natural vegetables and fruits for us.

On the other hand, the officials of the agriculture department informed the Chief Minister that companies were showing interest in supplying quality seeds and fertilizers at reduced prices. Including the Chief minister, some of the officials also present there were Ministers Kurasala Kannababu, Balineni Srinivas Reddy, Kodali Sri Venkateswar Rao, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy.
