Jagan-Sharmila Dispute: JSP Supporter Raises Key Issues
Today, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy filed a legal petition challenging the allocation of shares in Saraswati Power to his sister, YS Sharmila, and their mother, YS Vijayamma. Kranthi Barlapudi, a staunch supporter of the Jana Sena Party (JSP), shared her insights on the situation.
She pointed out that this legal move highlights Jagan's ongoing efforts to consolidate wealth and control, a pattern evident throughout his tenure. Barlapudi emphasized that public funds have been misused under Jagan’s governance, citing examples such as ₹3.5 crore spent on egg puffs and a lavish ₹500 crore residence in Rishikonda built at the public’s expense.
She also noted ₹12 crore spent on privacy measures for his residence, along with significant sums for maintaining his properties in Hyderabad and Tadepalli. Barlapudi further accused Jagan of leveraging public resources to boost his personal ventures, such as allegedly forcing volunteers to purchase subscriptions to his Sakshi newspaper.
These indulgences, she claimed, are coupled with large-scale corruption, including illegal activities in liquor, sand mining, drug networks, and land grabbing. Barlapudi concludes by criticizing Jagan's extravagant spending, questioning why he is reluctant to share wealth with his own family.
