Jagan To Launch 144 Oxygen Plants Today

The AP government, headed by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, is taking all measures to curb COVID ahead of the 3rd wave. Jagan today will inaugurate the oxygen plants set up in government hospitals. About 144 Oxygen plants were set up at Rs 426 crore, virtually launching by Jagan Mohan Reddy.
During the 2nd wave of shortages, Jagan took several steps toward achieving self-sufficiency in medical oxygen. As a result, 133 PSA medical-oxygen manufacturing plants have been established in hospitals across all state districts. The focus is on setting up medical-oxygen production units in government hospitals with at least 50 beds.
Following the revelation that cases of covid are spreading rapidly under the influence of Omicron, these plants will play a major role in providing treatment to those affected by the epidemic. Jagan has set up these plants on the premises of hospitals in response to a sharp rise in medical oxygen demand over the past two years. Through pipelines, oxygen, produced by pressure swing abstraction, reaches the patient directly. Cylinders can also be filled with this oxygen.
Meanwhile, AP reported 1257 fresh cases taking the total tally to 20,81,859 cases across the state. While coming to fatalities, 2 deaths were reported on Sunday.
